Welcome to the inaugural issue
of CARA’s newsletter, Eolas!
The start of a new year is always the perfect time to embrace the energy of our ideas and engage in activities that will lead to bigger and brighter results throughout the year.
So, what’s with the name? Pronounced, “oh-las,” Eolas is Gaelic for information, knowledge. As we leave 2009 to the history books and eagerly move into 2010, the CARA team looks forward to engaging with our clients and colleagues in new ways to provide you with the information and knowledge you need to achieve results and gain competitive advantage.
Through our bi-monthly e-newsletter we will strive to offer the perfect dose of tips and techniques to enhance your business. Time is a commodity not many of us have to spare, so our commitment to you—through Eolas—is to deliver tangible, valuable content; links to resources that offer relevant industry information; commentary on industry trends, case studies that outline ways companies similar to yours have improved their bottom-line; plus a glimpse into happenings at CARA.
Briskly moving into 2010 and a new decade, I think most companies will be moving at high speeds to act upon what seems to finally be some optimistic news. Economic indicators are positive for recovery, albeit slow.
Bottom-line, we’re seeing some improvement which leads to confidence. Confidence on the side of employers who will feel more secure in investing in growth; and confidence on the side of employees who might just decide to explore their employment options after a long, stressful and sometimes unsatisfying stay at their current employer. We explore this outlook and what it might mean for CARA’s clients in our feature article, Economic Outlook is Optimistic; Fair to Partly Cloudy for Employers.
And speaking of embracing new ideas, our latest news and events section is chock full of opportunities for you to exert your energy for learning new techniques to accomplish productivity and growth.
Again, welcome to the first issue of Eolas. We encourage you to share your feedback and look forward to continuing to provide our respected clients and colleagues with value-added knowledge and information.
Best,
Jane Ehrenstrom
Senior Vice President of The CARA Group, Inc.
