Begin with the End in Mind
The end of the year is always an important time for businesses to look back and reflect. What went right and what could be improved? Though it's a common time to review the past, looking ahead is just as important.
At CARA, we consult with our clients to begin their New Year performance planning now, and we remind them to begin with the end in mind. By setting year-end goals before the New Year starts, businesses have time enough to align resources with those goals. Changes that need to happen to support new targets can begin now, setting the groundwork for innovation and optimum workforce performance.
We're not just giving advice here, we practice what we preach. At the end of 2011, we reviewed our business goals, analyzed our vision, mission and strategy. We assessed our people, processes and systems to identify any gaps or barriers to our ability to be recognized as a performance solutions leader, with quality engagements that directly contribute to our clients' and consultants' productivity and growth.
One key initiative resulting from that analysis was to get better feedback from you on our performance. We focused on developing a tool and process to make it easier for you to respond to how we meet your expectations and how we measure up to our the values expressed in our PURE Service Program: Professionalism, Understanding, Responsibility and Excellence. These are the values that define how CARA does business.
In the weeks ahead, some of you will be asked to participate in the pilot of our PURE Evaluation Process. We thank you and look forward to your feedback and helping us deliver better service and support to you.
